What is Person-Centered Care?
Person-Centeredness is the first principle of primary palliative care, and it is essential to developing the trusting relationships that are a hallmark of effective palliative care.
In this course you will examine recommendations about person- and family-centered palliative care and keys to developing trusting, effective relationships. You will learn about the importance of dignity, and how to promote it in patient care, as well as ways to consistently cultivate an empathetic attitude towards patients and their families in providing primary palliative care.
